Remember Marvin, the paranoid android? In the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, he famously had a brain the size of a planet. There were times, though, when it didn't seem to do him much good. Intellect is like that. You can have a stratospheric IQ and still be pretty stupid when it comes to the important things. Like emotions, instincts and the subtle language of empathy that only those with sensitive hearts can speak. This weekend's big issues need to be addressed with the heart, not the head.
